Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Awards

Philanthropy Partners of the Cape & Islands Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Awards

Awardees exemplify the best of our caring and generous community. They support many different nonprofits, and they inspire others to do the same. Nonprofits are encouraged to collaborate on nominations for awardees who support multiple organizations and causes.

Awards are given in four categories: Philanthropist, Business/Organization, Volunteer and Youth.

Criteria are as follows:

Outstanding Philanthropist Award Criteria: Presented to an individual or family with a proven record of exceptional generosity through their own financial support, generosity of spirit and civic responsibility that sets a leadership example encouraging others to take philanthropic roles in the local community.

Outstanding Volunteer Award Criteria: Presented to a volunteer who demonstrates exceptional leadership skills and has demonstrated outstanding philanthropic commitment through fundraising efforts and/or coordinating community involvement to benefit Cape Cod and the Islands.

Outstanding Business/Organization Award Criteria: Presented to a business/organization that has demonstrated outstanding commitment through financial support and through encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles toward philanthropy and community involvement in response to local needs.

Outstanding Youth/Youth Organization Criteria: Presented to a youth or youth organization that has demonstrated outstanding philanthropic commitment through fundraising efforts and/or coordinating community involvement to benefit Cape Cod and the Islands.

The 2023 Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Awardee have been announced and were be presented to recipients at 2023 Philanthropy Day on Cape Cod.

Note that during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-2021, we chose to celebrate everyone in our local community for their countless hours of service and commitment to philanthropy during these trying times!
